Text |
Texts and reference materials will be determined during the progression of the class. Because keeping up with changing technology is an on-going process that one must primarily learn on his/her own, students will work in groups and will be encouraged to develop and learn to use different texts/references of their own choosing (software manuals, how-to-books, help menus, Internet resources, etc.). |

Student Duties and Grading |
This is a "hands-on" course that requires the student to be proactive and diligent in his or her learning. Attendance is mandatory. After 2 unexcused absences, students will lose 1 points off their final grade for every unexcused absence. You will need to have an email account and open a free web site at a host like www.tripod.com , www.geocities.com, etc. |
|
|
Assignments will be posted on-line, including the appropriate on-line learning sources. You will complete their assignments and either email them to me or post them on your website. You must maintain a website and an index page that lists all of your assignments. A major portion of your grade is based upon graded assignments. These must be posted and/or emailed to me. You will lose 5 points for each day it is late. In addition to graded assignments, each student will design, create, and publish their own web site with a set of required elements.
The grades will be based upon the following weights: 40% - Graded Assignments 20% - Web Site Project 20% - Internet/E-Commerce Project 20% - Initiative in learning the material
